Compeer of Lebanon County is looking for people to be a friend and provide mentoring and social support to a person recovering from a mental illness.
Compeer
provides a fun and flexible volunteer opportunity that fits
into your current lifestyle. You can choose to spend time with someone
your own age, or older, or younger than yourself. Through the gift of your
friendship, you will gain a sense of satisfaction and personal growth and
have the opportunity to help another. All it takes is sharing a few hours a month doing the things you like to do
already --- sports, music, a hobby, fishing, sharing a pot of coffee, a walk in the
park or local mall, or just talking.
You'll get free training and ongoing support by the Compeer staff.
